As an octogenarian, I believe this is my 1st exposure to listening to a whole album of this genre. Most of High Violet's songs made me feel sad, for the most part, although I did enjoy Lemonworld as it seemed more upbeat. My only suggestion to the group would be to mix it up a little - but maybe that's because my generation did it! I'm sure my grandson (who lives in Brooklyn) is an ardent fan. He even looks like one of the band's members. Thanks NYTimes Magazine for introducing me to something different in the world of music! I'll "play it again, Sam!"
